I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes over ten years ago, and have been cared for by Nurse Maura Hood at Sunbury Health Centre. She is very caring, friendly, helpful and totally professional. With her instruction and encouragement my condition, managed with medication, diet and exercise, has not deteriorated to any great extent.
My wife and I are both patients of Doctor S. Hodson and find her completely satisfactory - a very nice lady.
The surgery is vastly over subscribed and in desperate need of upgrading, but all of the medical and administrative staff obviously do their utmost to offer an outstanding service.
good support through my illness
my doctor was very proactive and pushed until the right tests were carried out and my rare condition was correctly diagnosed
I am now on the correct medication and the outlook is good
My GP took the time to listen to me. It was worth waiting a while over my appointment time for the service recieved
Always had good service from the practice over the last 20+ years
Flexibility from the patient is key - the system works but if you need to see a particular GP then reality dictates that your options are reduced
My concerns for Sunbury Health Centre are that they are not big enough to cope with all the families moving into the area after massive new amounts of house building. It is the only access to doctors in the area and I think it is remarkable how well they cope at present BUT forward planning regarding infrastructure is very necessary by the Health Authority. How lucky we are to have all these dedicated people working at the Health Centre. How long can it last? Thank you Dr. Caniff for always listening, helping and reassuring and always with a smile.
